Finished the wing tops. I will take off the wing flaps when I’m ready to do readjust them down 20 degrees.
Now on to the fuselage.

Now time to start scribing the top of the wings.
Instead of scraping off the panel lines, I decided to sand them off first.
So with all the tools I could get, the time of procrastination was over, alas I started the scribing process. I wasn’t sure I wanted to do this, so I started with the belly. That way if I changed my mind, it might not be such a big deal.
I started by outlining the raised lines.
Then I used my trusty rusted flat knife to scrape off the raised panel lines.
Then I pulled out the pen and scape style scribers and taped the templates on and lightly made the new panel lines.
I think I might hate scribing.
I’ve chosen the colors and ready to go. I’m going with Testors Model Master enamels; black, white, dark green, pale green, medium green, armor sand, and duck egg blue for the bottom.
Well I’m ready to take the dive and start my first model airplane since I was in the 9th grade. I have all of the materials, paints, books, and models. Just gotta put that foot forward now.
So here it is, the Viggen AJ-37.
So along with this old mold with raised panel lines, I bought a ton of resin and metal. A resin cockpit and air duct. White metal landing gears. Etched Brass ladder and air brakes. Oh, and the online shop threw in some anti-ship missiles as well. So I’ll have to check out what kind of scheme those are for.
So I guess it’s time to start!
